Self Homeschooling is a home-based education system, which relies on the active participation of the parent or trainer as a teacher to the child.

Students will be using our online learning platform receiving a quality curriculum, on a monthly or yearly basis that is up to date on the subject chosen.

Our Self Homeschooling LMS platform is not a school.  It is an online learning platform to be used as a tool for educating your children at home.

You can use our resources designed by highly qualified teachers based on decades of teaching experience to do the hard part. This then along with your supervision at home allows for a successful learning experience.

Our Self Homeschooling platform follows the British Curriculum of England and Wales. 

An LMS is a Learning Management System and is a software platform which is designed specifically to create, distribute and manage the delivery of educational content. This combines a wide range of features to simulate a class setting without having the students being physically present in a classroom. 

Our Self Homeschooling platform is an LMS used to share our courses, learning objectives, instructions, reading material, videos, worksheets and an assessment for that specific topic with students.

Our LMS includes Kinaesthetic, Visual, Auditory and interactive elements to support the student learning process. 

The students have access to reading material, worksheets, videos and quizzes. This ensures the students are engaged in a variety of different ways.

Our courses are organised over a ten month period starting from September until June.

Each monthly course contains a set of topics for that period and every month has a different set of topics.

A yearly course is basically all the months combined into one at a discounted rate.

For example if someone purchases a different course every month it will cost more than purchasing a yearly course.

This is something that only you can decide and are totally comfortable with. Some people prefer purchasing courses on a monthly basis as it gives them more flexibility. Whilst others prefer to take advantage of the discounted rate added to the yearly course.

Once your child is in year 10 or 11 that is when they will be taking exams. At this stage they will need to apply to an exam centre to take their exams for IGCSE. We can assist your child with applying for their exam if needed. There are no exams for primary and lower Secondary year groups.

Your child will receive a qualification from the examining board after they have taken their exams in Year 10 or 11. We do not provide any internal qualifications as we only provide resources to support the learning process via the LMS.

We do not issue transcripts, but instead we provide a record of student’s assessments. You will have access to their results on the learning management system.

Yes of course you can!

We have many students in many different countries and as long you have a stable Internet connection your child will be able to keep up with learning wherever they are. Exams for year 10 and and 11 students can be taken at test centres worldwide.

There is no reason why you cannot withdraw your child from school mid-year. You are totally in charge of your own decision, be that for personal or financial reasons. 

A supportive home learning environment (a place to learn within the home).

In addition, access to a computer/laptop/tablet/mobile device and internet is required.

Once you have registered you can browse and purchase courses. You will then find you have access to a dashboard, showing your personal profile, enrolled courses and purchase history.

You can then go to your enrolled courses and start learning on the LMS. 

There is no requirement for the amount of courses taken by a student.

You can purchase one course or several courses, this depends entirely on your needs.

All the courses offered are core subjects, therefore we do recommend taking all the courses available for your specific level. For example if you are in grade 9 we recommend purchasing the yearly courses for English, Maths and Science. This is also the most cost effective choice.

Our courses are organised on a monthly basis from September to June. You are more than welcome to follow our structure, although you are free to pick and choose any monthly course based on your own preferences.
